For more details and to RSVP, please visit: http://rfkmustdie.bravenewtheaters.com/screening/show/10729 --~--~------~--~---------~-------~--~----~ About the film: June 5th, 1968: Robert Kennedy wins the California democratic primary and is set to challenge Nixon for the White House. Moments later, he is assassinated by 24-year-old Palestinian Sirhan Sirhan. But even under hypnosis, Sirhan has never been able to remember the shooting and leading psychiatrists believe he was a 'Manchurian Candidate', hypnotically programmed to kill Kennedy. Now, newly-discovered film and photographs appear to show three senior CIA operatives at the crime-scene, suggesting the CIA was behind the assassination. A disturbing new investigative documentary based on O’Sullivan’s reports for BBC Newsnight and the Guardian. Now available for screening on the fortieth anniversary of the assassination, June 5, 2008. Reviews of RFK Must Die: The Assassination of Bobby Kennedy: "an important film that raises many questions...For a new generation too young to remember 1968 and too idealistic to think the worst about government complicity, it may be an eye opener. " TALKING PICTURES (B+) "an exhaustive investigation into the death of one of America’s most beloved politicians...always provocative and often disturbing..." Variety critic EMANUEL LEVY "RFK Must Die emerges not only as an interesting look into the tragic death of a beloved figure but also succeeds as a thought-provoking thriller..." INDEPENDENT FILM QUARTERLY "Dizzyingly informative conspiracy movie examining the murder of JFK's brother...provides abundant evidence questioning whether Sirhan was acting alone or if he was just another patsy...we are left with more than enough to chew on in this meticulously detailed examination of that fateful night" TIME OUT LONDON (Critic's Choice) "O'Sullivan's research is thorough, credible and convincing" ABOUT.COM (****1/2) "O'Sullivan does an excellent job in bringing up some of the contradictions in the official investigation of the Robert Kennedy assassination...I recommend it." DVD TALK (***1/2) "O'Sullivan attacks the back story of Kennedy's murder with enthusiasm...and the viewer comes away hoping he isn't right." LONG ISLAND PRESS (8/10) "O'Sullivan tries and succeeds in informing us about the failure of law enforcement in solving this crime, due to destruction of crucial evidence and prematurely ending the investigation. He provides history and possible solutions...I will never give up trying to solve this case" Shooting victim and Kennedy friend PAUL SCHRADE To learn more, or find another screening to attend, please visit: http://rfkmustdie.bravenewtheaters.com/ |
